Grab your sneakers and a friend or a whole team of folks and get ready to help make history in San Francisco by climbing 52-floors to the top of 555 California, formerly known as the B of A building.
Get Set!
On Saturday, March 28,2009, the American Lung Association presents Climb California, Northern California’s inaugural stair climb fundraising event. Hosted by Vornado Realty Trust, a diverse crowd will gather to climb the 1,197 stairs to the top of the tallest inhabitable building in Northern California.
Climb!
Ascend the 1,197 stairs to raise funds to support clean air and healthy lungs. After all, breathing shouldn’t be an uphill climb
Celebrate!
After the stair climb, celebrate at the spectacular 52nd floor Carnelian Room, the most stunning finish line anywhere!
Participants will use the event, sometimes called a “vertical road race,” as a fitness target, a competitive race, an effort to support clean air and healthy lungs, or simply as a great way to have fun being part of something unique and exciting.
Stair climb event participants range in age from 7 to 76. Some participants are avid athletes, but most are not! All stair climbers participate to be part of something extraordinary (and to see how long it takes to climb 1,197 stairs)!
Please join in this exciting, healthy and unique event on March 28, 2009 as our dedicated climbers, sponsors, spectators, and volunteers unite together to raise funds so all Californians can breathe easier.
